Hey, I'm working on getting a few back links for my site, and also giving others back links as well. When I'm trying to add a back link for others on my "Links" page, I often have trouble hiding the URL to the other user's website in an HTML. Would someone care to post the (script, I guess you would call it?) in order to hide the URL? Specifically, I'm talking about the < a ref.... etc. thing. (had to exaggerate that part for it to show).

Well I suppose you could place the link within a few anchor words within your site like:

Get Help Hiding Your URLS

and then cover it up with a set of font tags, changing the color attribute to black. It will create the backlink but your readers will likely not click on it.

I think you mean taking this: 'http://points2shop.com' to this 'Points2Shop.com'?

If that's the case, you use the following html: keywords to show

Having the title attribute helps with SEO, but isn't vital.

If that's the case, you use the following html:
< a href="change this to your url" title="keywords to show">keywords to show< /a>

You need to remove the spaces before the 'a' and the '/a'.

That's a basic hyperlink. If someone just hovers over your link they can see where it leads. There are ways to get around this and I may/may not have discussed them in the referral guide.

By any chace do you mean a meta refresh page?

As in: http://www.refsite.com/signup (the sign up directs to p2s)

You can do it many ways. I actually suggest using PHP.

The one-problem with meta-refresh is that if it refreshes too quickly (as is the case with most internet connections and browsers) you will not get correct tracking in your referral statistics. Consequently, if you run many domains, you won't see where they are specifically coming from. It will only register as the final destination - e.g. points2shop.com.
