This is a message I sent to Jacob's p2s account. I'm hoping he'll reply, but I'm sure their are many people that can answer my question, and I'm sure he gets a lot of messages, so he might not reply. If anyone can answer this question and help me out, it would be GREATLY appreciated. Message to Jacob Arensusz: "So, everytime I seem to understand what your talking about in your guide, I think about it again, or read on, and it doesn't make sense again. Perhaps it's just I don't understand the terminology you are using. No offense to you, I'm sure I'm just not smart, I'm just need to ask a question or two to clear things up. Firstly, when comparing the spider web method to the shotgun method, it is obvious the shotgun method is the better option. But what I think you mean by backlinks is simply a link linking to the other hub. But seeing how it doesn't make sense when I think of it that way, I must be wrong. Here's what I think of when I see the shotgun method. Obviously it will be a small model, but hopefully you understand what I'm talking about Let's use the letter A for the main hub, B, C, D and E for the secondary hubs. So what I think you mean by satellites is forum comments, video comments, articles, etc. So if each satellite in your model had 3 lines to the main hub and two secondary hubs, does this mean that say, one video comment must include, for example, a link to Hub A, a link to Hub B, and a link to Hub C? Like this: "blah blah blah free stuff, etc, etc... click here for this(hub A link) click here for this(hub B link) click here for this(hub C link)" Now before you say that didn't make any sense, you must understand, that is exactly my point. I don't understand what the lines from the satellites in your model indicate. Simply links? I just don't understand. I really want to get started with this method. Thanks, Noahmcdx." |

the main hub would be your main ref site, secondary hubs would be things like blogs, videos, online articles, or forum topics, things like that, which you always link back to your main hub. then you can backlink them all in forums, comments, or wherever ask jacob though because its his strategy and he knows it best, i use my own method

ask jacob though because its his strategy and he knows it best, i use my own method dave7x7 See I just don't understand how the satellites are connected to the primary and secondary hubs. It would make sense if each of the satellites in his model were only connected to one hub, but they are connected to 3 each, and I see each satellite as a singular comment, post or whatever to link to a hub, but I don't see how one satellite could link to 3 different hubs(atleast that's what I see when I see the model, one satellite linking to 3 different hubs). That's what I need help understanding. |

Your satellites should link to your secondary hubs and your main hub. Your Secondary hubs should link to each other and the main hub. Your main hub should not link to any of your other sites. Nothing should link to your satellites. Yes, back links are links to your site that are on other sites. Anchor links work best because they give your site the most Page Ranking "juice." An anchor link is one that uses your key words as the link... for this read Exar's SEO Guide. Read that for a better explanation.. but here is a quick type up. Juice is how much of the sites Page Rank it shares with your site. Basically there are three links: http://points2shop.com (this link would give your site no help. 0% "juice") http://www.points2shop.com (This is the half way point.. since it actually links to your site you get something but it is not recommended you link to your site like this. 50% "Juice") Points2Shop (This is the absolute best way to link to your site.. it gives you the most "juice" since it is using your key words as the link also known as anchor linking. 100% "juice" |
| Of course I don't believe in Santa Claus, it's one dude flying around leaving presents, that's ridiculous! But one dude up in the sky hearing everybody murmur to him at once, thaaat I get. | |
