I was thinking of getting one, But I want see some of you guys who already have one, how much you paid for it and how successfull u guys are with it.

Is it with worth it? I know you paid $1.99 just for the domain itself than 4.99 a month for hosting.

You don't need it. Yes it it'll make your site link look a little better. I'm not too sure about the affect on Google Page Rank, but I think you can do well without it.

If you're wanting your site to be successful and you got the knowledge to do it, then a domain name is a MUST. I started out with those Weebly subdomains, it does the job but I didn't rank well. Then I bought a domain name, did less work on it but passed my Weebly subdomain easily for the same keyword. Just shows how much better a real domain is compared to a subdomain. Ranking on Google is how I got successful with referrals. I pay about $10/domain and currently have 20. I've had more in the past but either I've sold them or let them expire since they weren't worth it.

Buy a domain if you know what you're doing, otherwise it'll be a big loss. Try a subdomain and see how well ranked that'll be, if you like where it is, then get the domains and do better.

go daddy is a decent place to use. but there is (or was) an offer for bluehost. which means you make $ back on your purchase. I used them a year ago and have never been unhappy with them. In fact I have switched all my domains to bluehost. They have great customer service and so far trusted domains on there server, which helps as well
