Ok so i just started selling some stuff on Ebay. I never sold things online before. I get confused about the shipping procedures. I know that when a buyer buys your item, you get to print shipping labels and post it on the box. But what type of package do I use. If I wanna send a first class mail, how do I do it. Sorry I'm new to this :/

Just find a good package size for ur item in good condition, make sure you have good protection around it like bubble wrap. Then you can just put your shipping label on it or go to ur local post office and have them weigh it for you and they can put a label on it for you. Btw im kinda new to shipping stuff too so read up on other post.

It always helps to pre-weigh your item first so you can charge the correct shipping for your goods. Then you just need to put them in a package (shipping bags work well for the smaller, less breakable items, use jiffy bags (they're lined with bubble wrap) for games etc (slightly more fragile) and boxes with bubblewrap/styrofoam/suitable material for the larger and more fragile items. make sure you seal them all tight with packing tape too as I've had boxes rip open in transit where the sellers haven't bothered taping them.

I suppose the main thing is - package the item so it would be acceptable were you to be the buyer - you can't go wrong :)

I go to the post office and look for the nicest, older lady worker I can find...

1. She has probably work there a long time
2. She'll knows Exactly what you need and how much (especially if you are going to keep selling stuff on ebay)
&
3. It will be like talking to your Grandma

PS - She might even have cookies

offers good prices on your stuff so you can sell it. Also don't make it just auctions, i hate when sellers do that -___-. i know its not what you asked for but i though it'd be useful to know :)

If you take it to your local post office and provide them with the address that you want it shipped to the will box it, label it, and sent it out all for you. all you need is the money to pay for it and the item you want to ship. They even provide the box to ship it in.
