How to screen capture for free no software needed for windows

1- when you come to a screen you want to keep press prt sc sys rq it should be near scroll lock at the top of your keyboard 
2- go in to paint application and press edit and then paste 
3- select the part you want and press the image botton then crop 
4- hit file save as name it and your done
