I thought we could use a more recent, updated informational sticky topic for the Compete forum. Here you can find info about competing in teams, Points2shop lottery and sweepstakes, and the honor levels.
Teams, Team Competitions, and Merits

What merits are used for
- Merits are used in team competitions, held monthly and weekly. Winning teams at the end of the competition will win a cash reward depending on their ending position. For current running contest, visit the
Contests
page.

Gaining Merits
- Merits can be obtained by completing quests, winning them from the Spin2win after marking an offer as completed, and logging in daily. To view your quests completion, visit the Quests page:

Joining teams
- To join a team, visit the
Teams
page for the full list of teams available. Look for an unlocked team with less than 5 members, and request to join. A message will be sent to the leader regarding the request. You might have better luck finding a team here in the Compete forum, either by creating a thread or replying to a topic asking to join.

Starting your own team
- To start your own team instead, visit the same "Teams" link directly above and click Create a Team. There's a limit of 5 members per team, choose wisely. You can disable team requests on the
Team Overview
page.

Each member added into the team deducts 50 merits from the team total.

Donating merits to a team
- To donate merits, visit the Teams Competition page located under the Compete tab. Click on the "Your Team" link, and you will be able to donate your merits on that page. For a guide walkthrough on donating merits, be sure to check out this guide:
How to donate merits
Donating merits is irreversible, and you cannot get donated merits back if you leave your team. When you donate, they only count for current open contests. This means you'll want to make sure you have a chance at winning the competitions BEFORE donating or they would go to waste! A good amount to gain would be a few thousand merits per teammate.

Team competition winnings
- Team competition winnings are split among teammates, with the leader of the team getting a slightly bigger reward. Payouts are made manually by the admin team, which can be a few days after the closing contest date.
