So now that I've recently emptied out a bedroom in my home, I'm not quite sure what to do with the space. More and more I've been thinking of making it into a home office area, as I recently moved my computer and desk into it. Things that are in it that I'd rather not move out are a dresser, a bed, and an antique writing desk. Everything else is open space. I need some ideas on what I should put in here so it's not so empty! Even colors for the wall are a good idea, as they're stark white currently. Ideas for half a room that's not office-related are great too, so feel free to toss those in! Let's see what you guys got in mind? |

You might like earth tones for the walls. They aren't boring like plain white and it's easy to make stuff inside the room match.
If you're easily distracted while you're trying to get things done in the office section, I'd leave out fun stuff. I don't have a TV here in my bedroom, for example, because this is where I work. (Freelance writing--no private space anywhere else in the house, so my bedroom's also my office.) However, if you collect things, your office might be a good place to create displays. |
