If they let you become plat without the refs, they're going to end up having to change the rules for everyone, and that may discourage a large portion of the active users to not put in the effort to refer others. This site runs because there's always new members being referred. If that were to be halted, there would be a serious drop in profit for the admins, and therefore less offers and chances to profit for us.
