People often ask in the shoutbox and in tickets why they aren't getting paid for all of their referrals, so I thought I'd post a few reasons here to keep people informed. 1. The didn't complete registration: Your referrals have to validate their e-mails and enter all of their account information. If they didn't validate their e-mails, their status will remain at "Validating". If they did validate their e-mails, their status will be set to "Member", but that doesn't necessarily mean they completed registration if they didn't fill in all of their account information. 2. They aren't from the U.S. or U.K.: You will only receive a registration bonus for referrals that signed up from the U.S. or U.K. and you will receive the activity/offer bonus when they complete their first offers (it cannot be a click and it must be approved). You will also receive an activity/offer bonus from CA referrals who complete their first offer, although that will be less than what you would receive from a U.S. or U.K. referral. 3. They were blocked the moment they registered: This happens when people sign up using a proxy or get flagged by our system as 'high risk', usually because they entered fake information on their account or because our system doesn't like the e-mail provider they're using (ie. @ymail.com, @usa.com etc..). Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail are a few examples of e-mails that will work. 4. They clicked someone else's referral link first: If the person you want to refer has previously visted Points2Shop/Cashle by clicking on someone else's referral link, that information from their visit will be stored in their temporary files. So, even if they have just clicked your link and registered, the person who's link they clicked first will receive that referral. If the person you would like to refer has previously visited this site or you aren't sure whether or not they have visited, be sure to have them clear their cookies/temporary files before clicking your referral link to ensure you receive credit for their registration. I hope this sheds some light on the subject. If you have a referral you didn't receive credit for, one of the reasons listed above will most likely explain this. If any other reasons come to mind, I'll be sure to post an update here. ~Ted |
